July 27-Aug 3, 2025

Centara Riverside Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand

This weeklong gathering in Chiang Mai is not just another leadership meeting—it is a time set apart to invest in your soul, strengthen your calling, and unify our hearts for the Kingdom work unfolding across Southeast Asia.

Each day has been prayerfully designed to speak to your life and leadership in practical, biblical, and Spirit-filled ways. Whether you are a superintendent leading a growing national disciplemaking movement, a missionary planting seeds across borders, or an emerging leader stepping into your God-given potential, this gathering is for you.

We trust God is helping us toward our goal of influencing one million Asians across the continent—one rooted in deep, interdependent relationships, empowered by the Spirit, and aligned with the transforming mission of Jesus.

What You Can Expect Each Day

How to Prepare Your Heart and Mind

This gathering is not only a leadership enrichment week—it is a sacred opportunity to meet with God and one another in a fresh and powerful way. Please take time in advance to prepare your heart and mind so you can fully receive what God wants to give and speak during our time together.

  • Pray for our time. Begin lifting this gathering in prayer now. Ask the Lord to prepare your heart—and the hearts of others—to receive, grow, and respond.

  • Ask 3–5 people to pray for you. Invite close friends, family, or members of your church to pray specifically for your time at the summit. Ask them to cover you in prayer for:

    • Spiritual breakthrough

    • Meaningful learning and deep connection

    • Life-changing leadership growth

  • Be ready to engage fully. Come prepared to be present—mind, body, and spirit. Please silence your phone, pause email notifications, and resist all other distractions during our sessions. Do not take phone calls while we’re meeting unless it’s an emergency—and if needed, please wait until break or dinner hours.

  • Consider fasting or setting aside special time for prayer in the days before the summit as a personal act of preparation. This could be a fast from media, a day of prayer, or another meaningful discipline that focuses your heart.

  • Be rested when you arrive. Give yourself permission to slow down before you travel so you come spiritually and physically refreshed.

  • Finally, remember that the best thing about this gathering is not the gathering itself. It is Jesus. It is your connection with Him, and the relationships He is deepening among us.

Come with expectation. Come with hunger. Come with joy.

Special Note for Superintendents

You will each have a dedicated time during the summit to present your national strategy. Please prepare a single slide with:

  • Your plan for the remainder of 2025

  • Your 3–5 year vision

  • Specific ways your country will contribute to the “influencing one million” goal

We ask that you go beyond general updates. Be specific. Be bold. Think deeply about what will truly advance the Kingdom in your context.

Please email your slide to Eric in advance.

Why This Gathering Matters to You Personally

  • This is a time to reconnect face-to-face with the national leaders you serve, better understand the current spiritual landscape in Southeast Asia, and be refreshed in your own walk with Christ. It’s also a chance to listen, to serve, and to strengthen trust and alignment across the team. As you support others, this week is designed to support you.

  • You carry the weight of shepherding growing movements in challenging environments. This summit gives you space to step away from the demands, rest in God’s presence, and receive encouragement from trusted peers and leaders. It also equips you with biblical leadership insights, practical discipleship tools, and a shared vision that crosses borders and deepens collaboration with your regional partners.

  • You are the next generation of leadership in the Free Methodist Church. This week is your opportunity to learn from seasoned leaders, sharpen your understanding of Scripture, and grow in confidence as you discover how God has uniquely shaped you for influence. You will be seen, heard, and poured into—because your voice matters and your future is vital to the mission.
